Humans and Dogs – A Bond of Trust and Love
Dear friends,
In our daily life with dogs, we experience the immediate power of life, presence, and healing—as well as the profound weight of the issues that arise. In recent weeks, we have had to say goodbye to two of our animal souls, Zora and Fred; the team was deeply shaken, and we needed time to process what had happened. Animals are teachers; they confront us with the questions: What is death? What do you believe in? Our inner experience tells us clearly: Death is not the end of the soul’s existence; the soul endures, and we can learn to connect with it. Daring to make this connection is a rewarding adventure. In doing so, we learn to find spaces where we become calm enough to feel that subtle heart-to-heart connection and to hear the messages seeking to flow through it. Thank you for this teaching! And we miss you!

We are reaching out during a critical time regarding our financial situation: Unfortunately , one of our main sponsors has had to withdraw their support. We are now seeking €17,500 to ensure we can continue our work through the end of the year. These funds will give us the time needed to submit grant applications and place the entire sanctuary on a more secure financial footing. We have launched a fundraising campaign for this amount on the “Why Donate” platform—please take a look! If you are able to support us, please do—thank you in der advance for everything! If you cannot contribute financially right now, please share the campaign; the more people who hear about it, the better our chances of success!

Sheila is the “face” of the campaign. She came to us as a shy dog suffering from extreme separation anxiety. Today, she is calm and trusts a select circle of people; she loves to play —and she is learning to feel safe amidst life’s storms.

Thankyou for your interest and for joining us on this journey,
warm regards,
Barbara and the team
