A vision of peace for Canaan

A vision of peace for Canaan

I am back from a long journey.

Immediately after a vision quest in New Mexico, I co-led a seminar with Hanna Milling on the topic of women’s anger and its potential transformation. This led to the decision of some women to break our silence.

It started with a vigil in Berlin in a circle of about 40-60 women who know each other well and are trained in non-violent resistance. This is an essential step for us to contribute to breaking the general spell, the German silence and to see through a collective blind spot and make visible that we are not participating in this madness of eternal murder. War cannot be ended with war.

For me, the greatest task we face together today is to find our way back to the foundation of truth. We are in the process of awakening from our unconscious collective traumatic movie of several thousand years of war history, a horror movie that currently determines the events of war on this earth and leads to ever greater human catastrophes.

From this first step follows for me a next greater vision that should enable us to find the strength within ourselves to transform our own shadows and face the reality that will be able to effectively end the misery in Gaza.

Isn’t it obvious what Dieter Duhm writes in his text:

“If we could see what is happening on earth at this moment, we would instantly forget all our habits. We would do everything in our power to end this horror. We would be ready for all change in our own lives if we knew how to end the war. We must be ready to transform our own traumatic knot.”

The vision described here is to further strengthen, support and energize the grand vision of the “Women in White” – who want to work for the immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

For a long time I have been pregnant with the question of what my contribution could be. The vision quest has helped me a lot to get back in touch with the living earth and the vision of how this earth could be peacefully inhabited by humanity. Never before have I experienced such continuous and long-lasting true inner peace.

In a tiny place about 1.70 m in diameter, without water, without food, exposed to the high temperatures and the occasional thunderstorm, I listened to the voice of life and this beloved planet Earth.

I now know it again: “Peace is a reality,” it exists and can be called upon.

Of course, all those living in homelessness under the most difficult conditions without protection were particularly close to me during this time. I was particularly connected to my Palestinian and Israeli friends and to the horrific events in Gaza. The misery and pain that is taking place there is so unspeakable. A genocide has been happening for a long time, which we tolerate in silence because we believe more in our powerlessness than in our power. I was able to let the pain and the feeling of powerlessness get close to me without repressing it.

It was so obvious that we must recognize the causes and no longer remain silent out of fear. I saw the collective pain and its possible solution.

I am determined to do everything in my power. I know again that the impossible is possible if we want it. It was strange, despite all the helplessness, I could feel the protective and loving hand of the matrix of life and love behind everything. In the midst of the magical silence, I suddenly received an image of the situation in Palestine and Israel that seemed very powerful.

I know that I cannot realize it on my own, but the vision seemed so close to reality and also so powerful that it imprinted itself deep into my cells and released a strong will to act. Let me describe the image.

I see myself with a group of about 100 – 200 people in a peace vigil.

I see us together in a camp on a former military site in the Negef desert, not far from Mitpze Ramon, about 104 km from Gaza as the crow flies.

I see the women dressed in white, men are there as supporters.

I see how determined peace forces come together in triplexes to examine how the vision of a lived and practiced peace can be activated within us. In each triplex there is an Israeli, a Palestinian and a German person who take on a kind of sponsorship for each other and prepare for the peace camp together. They will look after each other during the whole time before the camp starts and also afterwards.

The triplex is the small cell in the camp, so to speak, and the number of participants can grow to the extent that the base is stable. It is important that the inner and outer peace work remain thoroughly interwoven.

A prerequisite for participation is that the participants are informed about the collective trauma of the various nations, that they are aware of the principles of non-violence and that they are not personally identified with any of the nations or parties.

They know the inner, often unconscious patterns of attack and defense.

It goes without saying that they love their homeland, but they do not identify with a policy that leads to ever new wars and recognize that they have grown up under conditioning that has always required new enemy images.

They are willing to penetrate the imposed national identities and get to their healthy core.

This land was once peacefully inhabited, and we connect with the voice of the ancestors who have known and preserved a peaceful vision for life on this earth.

We want to move forward together towards an original dream of peace that is not clouded by the patriarchal structure of domination and power. It is a joint vigil. Together with all visible and invisible forces, we focus our attention on the vision of peace in this country and on this earth.

We listen to the voice of the desert and activate the vision of a peacefully inhabited Palestine, also called the Fertile Crescent by many. Together we uncover the causes of war within ourselves and our environment in order to heal them together, all of us with one goal in mind: We stand for immediate ceasefire, and beyond that for the unconditional search for non-violent solution models: End war – live peace. “War cannot be ended with war” is our unifying statement.

From the common connection with the vision of peace comes the guidance and strength that will help us to make the right decisions.

I am thinking of a week of fasting together. (If you think you have to eat, bring yourself what you need).

We will meditate in silence every day, sing together and share the images we have received daily in our triplex.

Once a day we will gather in smaller groups and in the early evening before sunset there will be a plenary session for everyone to gather important insights. At sunrise and sunset we are together in silent meditation.

On the seventh day, I see us together in one place in Jerusalem in a joint vigil. And if there is enough strength, it will lead to a joint relief operation for the civilian population in Gaza.

I couldn’t see an exact time. It was clear that this picture is still in the vision and needs to be formed more clearly.

I feel the power that lies in a vision. I have started the first exciting conversations and I can see how a new strength and a new will is forming in many people. Perhaps something completely different will emerge from this. But it feels like a higher level of order, where people can come together more easily towards a common goal.

I have regained my faith that we can make a difference.

For me, the next step is for enough people to show up who are willing to help in the organization and are ready to take responsibility for this spiritual adventure together.

Who knows, maybe the vision will contribute to this and I will see us at a vigil where the ceasefire has already been decided. Right now it is mentioned daily in the news that a ceasefire is being seriously discussed again. May our good thoughts and our willingness to step out of the silence contribute to this.

In anticipation and gratitude for the image we have received,

from the bottom of our hearts

Sabine
